Final Thoughts:

With the first bottled in bond rye whiskey in Colorado history, Laws Whiskey House has quite literally set the bar for other rye whiskies to follow in the state. This 95/5 rye is distilled, aged, and bottled in house at 100 proof with a whopping 7 year age statement. The whiskey packs a solid fruit punch on the nose with notes of cantaloupe, white grape, and fresh ginger. The palate layers in some darker and richer notes of honey and toasted pecan before finishing with another punch of fruitiness. Overall, this whiskey has very balanced and nuanced flavor profile that combines the best notes you would find in other rye whiskies. A mix of apple, mint, honey, citrus, and more make this a rye whiskey that will leave you wanting another sip to see what other notes you can discern.
