Final Thoughts:

Kinnard and Drake is the first bourbon released from Boone County Jail Distillery out of Lebanon, Indiana, which was quite literally the former county jail. This whiskey on the nose brings a ton of sweetness, with caramel corn and waffle cone, followed by Belgian waffles and Honey Comb cereal on the palate. The finish drops off rather quickly, but still leaves very subtle notes of honeydew melon. Overall, this whiskey is not complex, however, it does have a nice sweet flavor profile that is going to please most casual whiskey drinkers. It is one I would happily share with others getting into whiskey, especially if you are looking for a bottle with an age statement at only $35.
