Final Thoughts:

With their inaugural bottled-in-bond release, Milam & Greene has put their own twist on the classic bourbon style with the inclusion of malted rye in the mash bill. As opposed to a standard rye grain, the malted rye brings more cereal and bread-like qualities, which balances nicely with the fruit-forward flavors coming through on both the nose and palate. While I always enjoy seeing more bottled-in-bond offerings on the market due to the additional time and attention required to meet those standards, it is even better when the pour delivers on quality. This release from Milam & Greene is no exception, and certainly one worth trying.
