Final Thoughts:
The newest “celebrity brand” whiskey, McTavish Spirits, comes from actor Graham McTavish (Outlander, Witcher, and more). As with any celebrity whiskey, there is a bit of skepticism before opening the bottle, however, the fact sheet speaks for itself. A 7-year bottled-in-bond bourbon is what we are all looking for in the market given their consistent track record for quality. This release is no exception with a well balanced product that brings brighter fruit notes and an overall honey-like sweetness. While this does not have the dark oak notes I look for with a higher-age bourbon, the bright sweetness makes this an easy to drink pour, especially during these dog days of summer.
