Warm sweet cinnamon, all spice, anise, vanilla frosting, licorice, and chocolate.

Palate: 

Cinnamon red hots, nutmeg, holiday spice cake, and tart raspberry.

Finish:

Long finish with notes of Cherry Garcia ice cream, baking spices, licorice, and raspberry.   

Final Thoughts:

Whenever you try a special holiday release from any distillery, you automatically have high expectations for a whiskey that will somehow remind you of the best aspects of the holiday season. This Lucky Seven Holiday Toast certainly delivers exactly what you want during the winter season, which is driven by the secondary aging in a toasted oak barrel. The glass explodes with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and baked goods from the nose to the finish, which is exactly what I was hoping for when I first opened the bottle.
