Nose:

Candied spearmint, dark brown sugar, all spice, leather, and caramel.

Palate: 

Spice punch with black pepper, mint, black cherry Coke, tangerine, candy corn, and slight fruit punch.

Finish:

Long finish of oak, jasmine green tea, simple syrup, and burnt caramel

Final Thoughts:

PCS’ Nulu Single Barrel Rye is sourced from MGP in Indiana using an uncut and unfiltered 95/5 rye mash bill. As with all single barrels, the flavors will vary between each, however, this pick from the Juice Club knocks it out of the park! This is a big and bold rye that smacks you in the face with mint, allspice, and citrus. The palate brings pronounced notes of cherry Coke and even fruit punch Kool Aid on the back end. A long finish of jasmine green tea and oak rounds out the whiskey as the spiciness of the palate subsides. If you are into spicy rye whiskey, I would highly recommend grabbing a bottle of Nulu Rye.
